OK... I am gettting my boat in order and am installing my new Lowrance Elite 4 GPS/FF combo. It comes with a 83/200 transponder, but the one that I already have, a hummingbird 200 already has the same capability.

My question is, I'd like to change one of them to a 455/800 transducer...

I am planning on using one as a shallow FF and the other to give me more details on bottom and structure....
Any thoughts?

Is your Elite the 4X Dsi model that can utilize that 455/800 T/D for 3D imaging?
It doesn't look like the Humminbird 200 can use it.

You may just have to use one on 83 and one on 200 for deeper & shallower without interference.
