Franc White passed away today.

He had the best outdoor show on tv period!

I remember his shows when I was a young boy. My father and I never missed it unless we were off fishing or shooting! Remember the Zebra striped plane? I wanted one when I was 10 years old!

Prayers to the White family. Never missed the Southern Sportsman. He always wanted his show based close to NC where everyone could visit. Still remember the remark
"Take a kid fishing" He'll be missed.

Yep, great show and a great guy. It was one of my favorites years ago.

Friend of mine was his first producer in the early days. Told me Franc was one of a kind for sure.

Sad, indeed. :(

Use to watch his show here on Sunday. Sponseres like House Autry, ??? Farms Quail, and THE original spokesperson for SEA OX Boats! Always GREAT shows - and ALWAYS with his dog (retriever?) by his side. And, had the very attractive WIFE!

Back in the early-mid '70's(?) he opened a "Southern Sportsman Restaurant" here - GREAT food, but, for some reason, didn't catch on, and it closed a few years later. ;?

RIP - he will certainly be missed. :(

Regards,
