I never figured out how this works, on the back of the 2 cycle oil, I see amount of gallons and ounces you need to mix the oil.

However I see this ratio stuff on the back like 100:1 and such?

what does this mean and how much oil would I mix into 3 gallons of gas for a 6 HP motor?

It's normally 50:1 which means every 50gallons of gas you mix 1gal of oil.

3gal of gas you mix in 7.68 ounces of oil which = .24 quarts
