I have a garmin2010c gps does this unit have the capacity to add a transducer to also be a depth finder? thanks

Yes, you can add a GSD 20 fishfinder module and then you'll have depth, speed, temp depending on the transducer you use.

Correct....add the module and the transducer and you are in business. If you want to add multiple components you will have to get the network expander as well.

Yes, here is the garmin link! Like SSNOS said you will have to add the GSD 20 or the GDS 21 module.
