Probably should have posted this here as opposed to the general forum, my bad! Going to install a Fishmaser T-Top on my boat which is a 19' all welded aluminum boat.Just looking for some input and suggestions on the install. The stringers on the boat are spaced 12" on center. Due to the configuration of the top and where the top will actually be mounted, I'm luck if I get 4 out of the 16 screws into the stringer. I'm also using 3M 5200.
What I have come up with is to buy two pieces of marine aluminum approx 4" x 38" x 1/2" and drill into that stock and secure that material to 4 stringers on each side of the console.
The legs on the top will be mounted directly to the material which will be tapped.
I played around in photoshop for about 5 minutes to give you some idea on what I've come up with. Open for suggestions by all means.
Thanks
