Doing online research and can't find specs on a 2004 suburban 4x4 1500. Anyone know the towing capacity on this vehicle?

Thanks!

I don't know what it's rated for but having had a 1500 and now a 2003 3/4 suburban I feel it's "capacity" is going to max out at around 7,500 lbs. Our 3/4 did OK with 10,000 but it was a handful, when I bought a rig that came in at 14-15K I bought a dually 6 weeks later.

Hi.....Thats a pretty vague question. What engine, rear end, trailer towing package? I believe a 350 engine with stock rear about 8k.

Check this out:

see pages 4-68 & 4-69

Jakeo62 is correct, you will need to know your engine/rear end gear ratio. I'm thinking 7,500lbs though.

I have a 2002 Tahoe LT/Autoride suspension, and I know in order to tow at MAX capacity, my manual states "with weight distributing hitch". I can't find this stipulation in this manual PDF (2004 Suburban).

DON'T forget to include people & gear in your truck in the GCWR. -Good luck! -GD

Thanks all. I'll be towing a 25 ft pontoon so 7500 is more than enough. Appreciate the feedback!
