I have a raymarine A70D and looking at the fan beam transducer. I usually don't fish over 130 ft of water. Just wondering if anyone has any experince with the transducer and any reviews would be great. Thanx

I have sold a good number of A57D's that came with this transducer and almost everyone of my customers who fished in saltwater changed out to the P58 or another ducer within a short period.

Their complaints were ranging from inability to track bottom consistently to it was only good at very slow trolling speeds.
It is a 200 kHZ unit only and also only capable of 100 watts use.

I guess it's best for very shallow fresh water use..such as for bass etc..
I thought it was a great idea to have an adjustable transducer like this....but it seems most have not really warmed to it as of yet.

My new A57 came with one, installed it 2 weeks ago. I lose bottom over 5mph. Pulled the boat today to drop the transducer in hopes that it helps some. If not, I'm going back to a P58.

Is there a transom mount tranducer for the a70D that will make the sounder any better then the one that came with it say the TM260 or the TM270W or will I probally not notice any diffrence?

The P58 is about all you can use on the transom.
TheTm260 or Tm270 is not compatible with your unit.
