On one of my engines the tirim/tilt will not go down.It will go up with no issues. While pressing any switch all i am getting is a clicking at the relay.
does this sound like my relay is no good? 2002 F225 do you know what is the relay part # ? ,thanks

Sounds like a bad relay.

New part http://www.simyamaha.com/Yamaha_Relay_Assembly_p/69j-81950-02-00.htm

One that was new, sold and returned. http://www.simyamaha.com/Yamaha_Relay_Assembly_p/69j-81950-02-00used.htm

Thanks

Andy

If you find out it is a switch I have the tilt and trim you should need. I bought it and ended up getting a whole new controller. I took mine apart and it is pretty easy to change up

Good luck

Ben

I believe all switches are good. Is it a difficult job to replace the relay? How much stuff do i need to remove to get at it and change?

Got the new relay and installed it. Only took a little over an hour. All is good.
