Forgive the repost, I originally posted this in the Boating forum, but I'm reposting here and in the Sportfishing forum in hopes of getting some good advice/discussion going.
I'm in NC and fish out of Wrightsville, and Little River.
So I've fished offshore nearly my entire life. Now that I've gotten the Whaler done, I want to try for Flounder, Reds, Specks, Croaker, Spots, Sheephead, etc.,. You guys start giving class. Tides, locations (flats, oyster beds, points, channels) as well as baits & techniques? Thank you!

Mud Minnows seem to work well for us.I dont fish that area, but I'm sure they are pretty Standard Bait...

It's hard to beat a 1/4 oz. jig with any Gulp products for catching Flounders, Reds & Specks.
Sheepshead try Fiddler Crabs or live Shrimp around most bridge pilings.
Spots & Croakers are by catch for me.
PM me or attend a Cape Fear Anglers meeting. Held every 3rd. Tues at Inlet Watch ( Carolina Beach) ......... ICM
