The wife and i are getting ready to semi-retire and looking for a yearly rental around the beach. We live up in Georgia and will be coming down for several weeks at a time. We have searched around zillow and Craigslist. I'm wondering if anyone knows any other local rental sites for single family homes / condos. Trying to find something on the water with a dock or close to a marina.
Thanks,
Jaerco

We have a beach condo that is available for rental in Indian Rocks ( just south of Clearwater ). The building is on the beach, but the condo is not on the beach side. There is a public ramp directly across from the condo ( less than 500' ). 2 bed / i bath fully furnished with a washer/dryer. Depending upon the size of your boat, you could dock it at my house about 10-15 minutes away.

thanks for the input. The only other hurdle is our labrador which may come down for the longer trips. That is one reason I think a house may work better. We are looking for a year lease as we are getting burnt out at work, and will be focusing our vacations in one spot for a while. We were close to buying a place two years ago, but this seems a better route for now. As for the boat, we will purchase our first once we get down there and schedules fall into place. We are probably going to get a simple 22-24 foot center console to cruise the ICW / sandbar / cruising to restaurants / etc.
