I found an old one of these on the road w/o charger or battery and they ost about 100 bucks - - am testing the motors now

You can use any small 12v battery (quad or m-cycle) for half the cost of the peg perego rip off replacement. Just find some type of quick connect for it. My kids had 2 of the the gators, btw.

Edit: all parts are available, including wheels which wear out fast on pavement

thank Just hooked up to a 12 volt atv battery and power goes to one wheel - (to the other also if I hook directly to the motor on the battery) - Yes I will find an atv battery

still trying to figure where this red/black from the battery (turns to black shield and white connector )lying above the thrittle switch goes - there are no more ports on eitheer the accellerator switch or the shifter ????

at least it goes in second - I may splurge for a new shifter though so he can have reverse

I just got rid of both of ours on bulk garbage day. Couldn't find anyone that wanted them. Someone probably picked them though. The only thing I ever replaced was the foot pedal...the micro switch was shot. The wire with the white connector might be for the "high" speed that the PO maybe did not connect. I think I found a wiring diagram online and the part I bought was online from http://redbanktoys.com/

Just got the battery and charger after (2days fedex) I checked all out and figured that is all I need - not really room for a traditional garden tractor - anyway I have contacted the company with no response yet but...... the charger and the battery BOTH have the same female connector!!!! and htere is no male connector built in anywhere on the vehicle. ring a bell to anyone - am I missing somehting???

Finally sprung for a new 20 buck shifter too - interesting "transmission" - second gear sends juice to the right rear wheel motor an d1st gear sends it (less juice or smaller motor) to the left wheel (the gear box in each wheel is the same )
Grandson will be here Sunday
