Cold was an understatement. 38 ambient with a wind chill of a whopping 10 degrees. We suffered 50 knot gusts and 30 sustained for a good portion of that trip. I did catch over 30 halibut though so it wasn`t too bad...and the beer helped with the ambition to stay on deck.;) With a current rip of 2.9knots we had to fish 3lbs of lead/lure to even touch bottom at 400`. The biggest fish came on a 7oz. jig...made a 150` cast uphill and right when it got to bottom behind the boat it got hit...good stuff.
