In March Mercury initiated a new Customer Service program called "Ask an Advisor," currently available only in North Carolina, Florida and Texas. I learned about it this week when I saw a half page ad in my local newspaper explaining the service.

Basically what the newspaper ad said was that you can call a toll free number 1-855-MMA-MERC (1-855-662-6372) and ask a question - any question about any Mercury product, whether it be a service question about an engine, a trolling motor, one of their boats, or whatever. I called and the guy told me just that, and that if he could not answer the question, he would have someone call me back who could.

He said this was a new service that Mercury was testing in three states and that if it helped improve their customer service they would expand it to other states. I don't own a Mercury product, but from what my friends who do say, Mercury customer service is already pretty good, so IMO it looks like Mercury is going out of their way to improve an already good customer service program?
