Looking at buying a new rig. 99 Edgewater 20 with a 03 yamaha 200 4stroke and an 02 sea hunt 212 with 02 xtra 150. Both boats will fit the bill nicely (fishing new england and family) and priced about the same. My only real issue is the motor, both performance and reliability. Any help would be great.
Not familar with a "xtra 150". I would choose the older EdgeWater with the newer engine.

X2 agree - edgewater builds a real nice boat, sea hunt builds a decent boat. EW with a newer 4 stroke, assuming price is comparable go with the EW. I also don't know what a "xtra 150" is?????

The motor on the Sea Hunt is a yamaha txra 150 2 stroke. Was a 99 edgewater made to carry a 4 stroke.

I like the Edgewater with the 4-stroke. I just hope this post doesn't go the way of the Grady vs Aquasport post. ;)
