I'm replacing my bearing and started reassembly. After inserting the rear bearing I installed the rear seal flush with the hub. there is a gap between the bearing and the seal. Should i keep pushing the seal into the hub until it makes contact with the bearing?

:thumbsup:No, the gap is normal. The seal should be flush with the hub.

Then what keeps the grease from going out the back of the hub?

Your seal fits tight on the spindle. That's what keeps the water out and the grease in.

When you put the hub back on you should feel a little resistance when the lip of the seal is sliding over the taper of the spindle.

I'm out buying a new seal it was the wrong size....thx. I took off the whole brake assembly, is it easier to just remove the 2 bolts that hold the calipers together?
