I think my sirius LWX-1 is bad? I have it all installed and I can hear the 000- Pre-view channel, but I can't change the stations. If I go into the Sonic Hub menu, the favorites and channel sections is greyed out (so I can't select anything). On the bottom of the HDS-5 is says something like (at work right now), Initiallizing Sirius ... I called Lowrance and didn't get very far. Of course I added a the unit to my existing account with Sirius XM. I even tried swapping my other HDS to make sure I didn't have an issue with the ethernet (mine is directly connected from the Sirius Module to the HDS-5 head unit). I am thinking about calling and talking to Sirius XM to make sure the unit is identified correctly? I guess an RM with Lowrance is next.

Just hate pulling all the wires through the boat again, I don't think my boat could sink with all the plastic shielded wire I have "snaked" through it lately :-)

Anyone have something similar? I have checked all the settings?

The obvious thing to check is to make sure you have updated the software for all of the components. You may have a software mismatch. Did Lowrance discuss your wring with you to make sure it is all connected properly. Did it ever work?

The sonic hub has worked since I installed it. FM and iPod works great. I have 2 HDS 5 (gen 2). I even switched the 2 units to make sure there were no ethernet issues. I called Sirius XM today and since it won't change channels, they feel it is hardware. I will call Lowrance tomorrow and set up an RA to send the stuff back. At $99, I might just buy another one instead of wait 3 weeks for the RA process, I am a little impatient

Sounds similar to an issue we had, we had 2 HDS 7's and had a hard time getting Sirius up on the one we wanted. bottom line it was operator error and a matter of getting down in to the menu and clicking the correct add ons and settings...I know we updated the version we were running and not sure if that was right before or after it was figured out.

Actually my 14 yr old figured it  Still not sure what he did.

Good Luck.

I thought the same, but walked it through with Lowrance and all looked good. Its weird, shows sirius as an input method, but all the keys for controlling the stations are greyed out?

Finally got it working, wanted to post my solution/discovery. I have two HDS 5 (gen 2)'s on the boat. After all types of trouble shooting, I switched the two units and it started working. The ethernet port on the 1st unit I tried which is mounted on the console doesn't work (everything else on it works). Now I will need to RM that unit :-(
