What's the difference between both besides being able to walk arround the boat,is there more space in a cuddy compared to a walkarround etc?
Thank you

I have a Wellcraft 24 Walkaround and I have plenty of space inside the cabin. On the Wellcraft you do not have a deep walk around the cabin, rather about a foot on each side and you have to hold on to the tee top to walk around the boat which gives you more room in the cabin.

My 2 cents, It really depends on the MAJORITY use factor. If you are more into fishing, than hauling the wife around, the Walkaround is the way to go. If, on the other hand, you're like me, where I needed someplace for the missus to do wardrobe changes, one son into wakeboarding, one into fishing, and Dad trying to please everyone, you wind up with a Cuddy. Lockable storage area for ski stuff, potti room, sleeping area for the odd overnite. My boat is an Inspector Gadget 2100SC Maxum. Rods store up under the Gunwales, Ice chest in between the seats, nice picnic table fold out, wrap around canvas, it has served a multitude of differing tasks. Now the kids are all graduated from College, and it still handles all my purposes nicely. I don't think I would have been as happy with a Walk-around, but that's just me.
Figure out what you want the boat to provide you for the most time and let that be your guide.

I'm looking for a boat that I can fish inshore, that my wife can change etc and a place to stay overnight. So besides walking in front of the boat what else can one expect from a WA?Is there less viable space in the cuddy ??Is it better with a cuddy, what's the difference between both ?

What's this got to do with the marine-electronics forum?

Yes I know I realized this but don't know how to transfer it to the boating forum.

My 3 cents:
I am in a 23 foot walk-around Proline 1988 and will never go back to a full cuddy. Kids love the space to get out of the way, I love being able to walk around safely and fish the front, handle the anchor work, have a spot for an extra cooler (my space in front fits a 100 qt perfectly and still access the anchor), etc.
My design has the helm station and hence the cuddy a bit farther forward than the typical layout which gives me a ton of room in the cockpit for a 23 foot boat. Yes a bit of a rougher ride in rough conditions but having space in the back to move around is huge for me, especially with kids fishing.

walk around cuddy is more family friendly and great do all design. CC is a better fishing platform.

It depends on the size and use case.
For fishing CC all the way.
With kids and wife, and if the boat is 23 or under, probably a cuddy to give you more room down there. 23 feet or above, I'd look at the WA. You can get an enclosed head and room to sleep 2-4 and room to change. I really like the recessed WA especially with kids and for fishing. As stated, they like it up there, especially at anchor or low speed movement.
The full cabin express models work for me if the boat is 36 feet or larger - no center helm though - I think you sacrifice a ton with it and really see no benefit sitting in the middle. I still don't like the fact that the bow rail starts far up the sides and that even with it, it is hitting you below the knees. Not much of a help if you ask me and with small kids - not even a consideration in my book.

best way to find out is to go and look at a few. all of them are different, largely depending on size.

I had a hunch space was smaller in a WA.
Thanks
