Anyone heard news on shipping date for the new Furuno TZ? I'm looking to upgrade electronics soon and wonder if its worth waiting on em to finally release? Why would they debut the product at the Miami boat show then wait months to release the product to the public? My guess is that they have more bugs than anticipated, but only a WAG. Anyone with some gouge?

I have mine (has been confirmed) coming in at the end of the week.. The chirp I will add in october when that is finally released..

The delay was to allow buyers time to obtain a second mortgage on their homes.

When I spoke with Furuno at the Miami show they said delivery would be sometime in May. Well it is May and they are starting to deliver.

I am buying a 38 Blackfin which has a Northstar 6000i, my electronic supplier that I was talking about upgrading to Simrad nss, when I asked them " if you had unlimited money, what system would you buy" the final answer was Furuno TZ..
So I told them, get it for me!!!!
I have Furuno VX2 on my 29 Blackfin, and since I am about to get the other boat and upgrade, why wouldn't I go for the best;?
The chirp sounder and transducer will be really pricey, but I won't be getting them till the off season, I think they will about 3k for both, so early christmas present for me:thumbsup::thumbsup: And digital 1kw sounder till then;)
