I'm having an electrical issue with my cockpit light and I am not sure what the LED on the switch panel is trying to tell me. The original florescent fixture blew out so I just got a LED fixture to replace it. When I attach the new fixture, the switch panel LED is always on whether the breaker switch is on or off. Does the indicator light remaining on point to a bad indicator light? a bad switch? a bad breaker? or a short in the wire somewhere? or any/all of the above?

The new fixture works when I wire it in, the switch panel switch turns on and cuts off power, and the breaker does not pop. That little LED on the breaker just always remains on even when the power switch is off. I just don't want to blow the brand new fixture if there is an underlying problem that caused the original fixture to blow.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.
