I was flipping channels today and heard a brief tidbit. Tons of space dust/particles hits earth every year. I got to thinking. Earth is 71% ocean. Where do you think 71% of that 200,000 tons falls every year? I'm not convinced oceans are rising but if they are could it be that they are getting filled in so it's waters must find somewhere to go? I know when the water is a certain depth in my tub and I get in it rises significantly. ;?;?

Wait a minute, that's only 20M#'s per 100 yrs. I'm pretty sure that's insignificant compared to ocean water volume. Of well.

Nevermind then. :trout:

On the other hand, Earth is 4 billion years old. That s#!t must be adding up somewhere.

It's just all the fish peeing in the water is what it is.

The sponges are dying off, that is why the water levels are rising.

Seriously - 200,000 tons equals about 100,000 cubic yards of rock (give or take) 100,000 cy would cover 1 sq mile at about 1 1/4 inch deep. I am too lazy to figure out how many square miles of water there are.
