My boat went in the water a few weeks ago, but this past weekend i noticed that a 12" x3" section of bottom paint flaked off above the water.
my question is... does anyone have any leftover i can use?
I had to pay the winter storage facility to paint my bottom before it went in so i never actually bought a can. I figure i would ask here before going to Freeport Marine or Fred Chall and have to spend 40 bucks and waste 99.8% of the smallest can.

Yeah really!
I just spent about 6k on summer dock, new gps, ducer, painting, all the maintenance and other crap. Knowing most ppl put it on a shelf when done since its illegal to throw it out. I am not against leftovers for a section the size smaller than half a sheet of paper. I feel like it's wiping my ass with just under 50 bucks for something cosmetic when I would rather put that in the fuel tank. And it's not that I wouldn't do it. Just asking here first

what about asking around the marina where your boat is?

Its at a town marina or I would have and it's about 10-15 miles from the ones who did the work.
I figure I am not doing this til the weekend so I have time to look for alternative options

I would contact the folks who you paid and have them come down and touch it up. Ifyou paid to have it done it should not be your problem!

Holy Crap... Hey if I had some I'd give it to you in a minute...
I'm always happy to try and help if I can... I also understand the stupidity in buying a full can for a small area... legit question in my opinion especially since it is sometimes easier to just fix things yourself instead of waiting for them to return...
