The Carolinas - HillsboroughSFC Fish Tournament in Morehead

Anyone heading down this week for the tournament. I've been seeing dolphin picked up everwhere but havent seen any signs of ones close in (15-20). HAs anyone heard of a site that you can get reports on weedlines etc. Does anyone know where I can pick up some live bait. I heard that there was a boat that hung around the turning basin that sold it. If so, does anyone know cost and if they will be there this Sat/Sun. Right now the weather is 6-10 on Friday, and I sure hope it lies down a lot more.

Capt Stacy fishing center usually has Live bait if ay availible.

Surely we aren't the only ones watching the weather like a hawk. Has anyone heard whether or not the tournament will be postponed if the current forecast holds?

When was that? I rec'd an email from him about 15 minutes ago saying that they were "on the bubble" for offshore.

I emailed him this morning and talked about how rough it was. Im in a 23'-0 class and essentially it's to rough and not safe. He said that he was going to hold the cobia and Spanish. With 7-11, N & NE winds on sat and 6-9 on Sunday, would be dangerous

Weird. I swear to you that the email I received said "on the bubble for offshore, inshore is on". I'm not doubting the conversation you had, it's just weird that I'd receive a different message at a later time in the day. Maybe they'll release a formal verdict either here or on FPT.

I just got email a few minutes ago. I been calling my crew. He sent email that said "better forecast". I checked it and it's still 6-9 on sat and 5-8 on Sunday. It just might calm down enough. Saturday will probably be an inshore day but Sunday might be a day to get a little further out.
