Northeast - Navionics Platinum+ Jamaica Bay Chart

I bought this chip mostly because I wanted the Fish n Chip option with the 1' contour lines.
What a disappointment so far! :(
Can you confirm they don't have the data for Jamaica Bay or maybe I'm doing something wrong on my Lowrance HDS? :banghead:

Are you specifically looking for FnC data, or just general chart info? For general chart info, I can check via the online app when I get home tonight, but I don't think the FnC data is available via the PC App.

If you could check over the weekend it would be great. I'm specifically looking for FnC data and can see no difference in contour line density with FnC enabled. Matter of fact I can see no difference at all in anything. ;?

Are you referring to toggling the FnC option on in the settings? I don't think that does anything, at least as far as I could tell. I also have a separate FnC chart, which has more contour data, but very little Navigation info. I don't recall actually buying the FnC card, though.... I want to say I was sent it from Navionics. Was there a coupon or something in the box w/ the P+ card?

Maybe that clears up you question on the 1' contour lines?

Yes, I'm talking about toggling the FnC option on after loading the Platinum+ chart which as advertised comes with Fish n Chip included.
Unfortunately after reading the FAQ excerpt you posted it looks like a case of deceptive marketing on their part and the included Fish N' Chip is not the "real Fish N' Chip" it is just a kinda, sorta "Fish N' Chip".

In any case the website clearly states "Bonus Fishing Detail: includes bathy and 1' contours in select areas" so unless there is something wrong with my setup maybe the Jamaica Bay is not one of the "select areas"

Thank you so much for the help! That clears things up for me 100%. The separate FnC is much more detailed with the 1' contours showing.

srf cast... do a fresh data update to your platinum chart probably middle of this week and you will get the FNC data on it for free. the one foot contours should be on it as an update. took a little while longer than we thought to release on P+ but finally here.

That is a great news!
I was so disappointed by the lack of one foot contours.
Can't wait to get the update and finally see what the bottom looks like and find new spots :thumbsup:
