Hello,
I am working on getting a Fusion MS IP600 stereo for my 21' Duck/fishing boat. I plan on buying a pair of JL audio M-series 7" speakers. My question is what is the difference between marine amplifer and a regular car amplifer if none of them get wet? I have been told by folks that i should get an amplifer for the stereo if i plan on listening to music if I'm running the boat. If i do get a 2 channel Amplifer do i have to get a JL amplifter or is there anyone decent one out there where i don't have to spend $240?
Also should i get marine speaker wire or will regular speaker wire work? Any advice would be helpful. thanks

We recomend using marine amplifiers, hiwever there are plenty of people that use automotive amplifier and they last a long time. The difference between the two is usually a coated circuit board and non corrosive terminals on the connections. Deffinately use marine wire, non marine wire will corrode very quickly so its not worth it.
