I have a 03 225 mercury 4 stroke and lately when i accellerate theres a noticeable clunk once you hit around 12 or 1300 rpms. just does it once, and it shifts in and out of gear fine. runs fine otherwise. It just does it spuratically. yesterday out of a 3 hr trip it only did it once which was the first time i came up on plane. The last trip it might have done it 3 times.

It's not when you initally put it in gear at low rpms, it's like it does it once it's under load coming up on plane.

ever seen one do this or have a good starting point?
