I've fished many bass tournaments, even fished the pro circuit when I was a lot younger up north ( the bass just dont get this BIG up north!) This bass by far is my biggest fish ever. She was caught yesterday around 4:30pm right before the storm hit. IMO best time to fish with the barometric change in the water. Well I was having a great day caught two 8 lbs bass, one 5 and one 4. Little did I know that 30 minutes later I would land the biggest bass I have ever caught to date.
I was using a Bill Dance Popper topwater. It was a good change with that storm coming. Well I launched it out their and bloop..bloop...BANG. I got this!!!!

Lenght: 27 3/4 Inches
Girth: 20 1/2 Inches
Lbs : Guessing around 12-13 ( only 25% spawned too wish she was fully spawned!)

Nice fish!! , I would guess around the same. Were you fishing a private lake, or a chain?

Yes, its a private lake if my friend. Theirs some holes that are 40+ deep. It was man made about 60 years ago. Been stocked by the owner with big bass and lots of baitfish. You usually won't catch anything less then 3 lbs. It's an amazing place, its also not always easy to fish which is good. Also, I always throw my fish back. I don't like keeping freshwater fish. Even if I did , I love bass so much..I've always throwen them back. Just something my dad always told me to do. Let the big ones get like monsters.

Thats awesome! Yeah ive always been a catch and release guy for bass also. I fished a place in Apopka that sounds about like what you described. There was like this deep pit in the middle and in the summer I would fish the bottom and pull out monsters. The record for that lake and APK was I think 16 pds years ago. Man I miss that place, there is nothing like going out and slaying big bass for a few hours. Post up sime more pics when you can!
