I'm sure there are threads on this but I haven't found any. Looking at going to braid on my 30w. Is hollow core worth the expense? What brands are you guys using? Power pro, Jerry brown, etc. making this change for tuna primarily. What color line?

I don’t like hollowcore for chunking - flattens out in the water and slows the chunks sink rate. Can be a problem for finicky fish.

That's what the top shot is for. When you get to the hollowcore start over. We also change our top shots about every two trips.

I'm cheap. Whatever is the cheapest, until it costs me a fish and then I'll worry about getting something else. So far still using Power Pro.

Found a good but on power pro. 1500 yd 100lb for $135 delivered. I may try hollowcore eventually but didn't pass up the deal.

Jerry Brown - for color white is my preference. Momoi top shot.
