i know it's my first post, but need some info if ya'll are willing to help. i will be in p.c. first week in june and are bringing my 18 foot center console duck boat to try and fish a little with the kids. mostly inshore or close to shore. any help to maybe catch a few fish would be great. don't want any ones hot spots just somewhere to stretch the line. trash fish would be fine, the kids don't know the difference between jacks and cobia or any thing else. can you find sharks and jacks in the pass? never been in area before, we used to go fort morgan but aunt got a house west of p.c. and can't beat a free place to stay. also any public launches worth using would be great. thanks guys

The best place to launch would be St. Andrews State Park. It's at the very end of Thomas Drive and is right around the corner from the departure. You can catch Sheepshead in the pass along the rocks by fishing the tides. With that kind of boat, you can get up in the west bay and hunt for trout and redfish as well and, if the weather lays down, you can do a little trolling for Spanish and Kings inshore. The Spanish and Bonita are always around close to shore at that time of year. If you're just trying to put kids on fish, carry a few Gotcha plugs on spinning outfits and follow the birds. There will be bait boiling all along the beach in the mornings.

thanks, i have run out several miles before out of fort morgan/ mobile bay mouth, but p.c. doesn't have the oil rigs that are nice for the small boats. easy to find spots when they are sticking out of the water:) does anyone know if shrimp boats run around the beaches like they do in bama, used to catch a lotof sharks behind them?
