Currently have in a Furuno 1850 DF that is looking like it wants to quit at any moment. What would be a combo unit that I could replace this unit with without having to replace transducer and most of the other cables.
Have been looking for just a 1850 display but they seem to be going for quite a bit of money still. Does it really make sense buying just the display or should i be looking at upgrading to a newer system all together.
What would be a good combo unit to upgrade to using the exsisting tranducer?
Thanks in advance

I would suggest a Garmin 720S unit - http://www.boemarine.com/Garmin_GPSMAP_720S_GPS_Chartplotter_w-Sounder-010-00835-01/

Then you'll need an adapter for the ducer - http://www.boemarine.com/AIRMAR_Adaptor_Cbl_-_10_Pin_to_6_Pin_DST-DT_XID-GCO-ADAPT-10-6DTV2/

That looks like a good setup could you give me a quote and send it to me via private msg.
I would also like to look at the option of a Raymarine e7D. what are the options of this and is there a Airmar adapter that would work for this as well?
Could you send me a quote for this system as well?
I am from Barbados what charts would i need for the two units and the price as well. looking forward to doing business with you.

There is no Airmar adapter for the E7D. You would have to replace the ducer. To get a quote just click the links I put above and add the items to your cart to see a sale price. My PM box is toast, so email me at the link below to move ahead.

Ok thanks didnt read that far down the page. what would be a good transducer for the e7D. mainly looking for just bottom depths trolling in 200-400 ft water. has to be thru hull. Is the garmin a pretty up to date unit? also what about the charts.

Another route i might take is to get a sounder that would fit the tranducer that i have in and another smaller plotter. so would be two units. any options? i apologise for so many questions but there is no store here that i can possibly go and get this info from on the island. thanks again

This would be a good ducer for the E7D http://www.boemarine.com/AIRMAR_50-200kHz_Bronze_Low_Pro_20_Deg_Tilt_D-T-GCO-B60-20-RAYA/

There is no image, so here is a similar ducer so you can see what it looks like - http://www.boemarine.com/AIRMAR_50-200KHZ_Bronze_Low_Pro_20_Deg_Tilt_D-T-GCO-B60-20-MM/

The Garmin unit is very modern/up-to-date. For charts you wil want to buy the Garmin Vision card for your area. Should be about $250.

If you want to go with 2 units I would suggest the Furuno FCV-620 and the Garmin GPSMAP 521.
