84 lb slob bought in Sunday morning and maybe 20 others all sight fishing, Even several offshore boats could not help but run into them at the inlet.
We found out about it at midday and got launched at 2:00 PM only to run aground in the main channel the ferry boats use while in the MIDDLE OF THE CHANNEL MARKERS.
No one told us the ferrys were not running. We left in 25 mph NE winds which would give us some shelter near the outside of the inlet. Water rolling out a about 14 mph and the heavy wind running with it played hell with the channel.
3 of us spent 45 minutes in the channel trying to push the boat deeper which was probably comical to anyone watching, GOOD TIMES out of the Village finally got a line to us and freed us.
We returned considering it a good day as not damage to boat done or anyone dying from a heart attack. At least the water was warm!
Weather looking grim for most fishing out of here for a few days now.
