Florida & Georgia - Tarpon Springs, 70 something miles out...

Headed out of Belle Harbor marina Saturday morning around 7:00...

Great weather window...and after hitting the bait boat up for a bunch of livies, we headed West...

Kingfish tournament had put some boats on our new spot...but they were all trolling and we managed to drift over some great hard bottom.

It took no time for the first big red to gobble down a palm sized grunt.

From then on it was on like Donkey Kong..:thumbsup:

Stopped to eat around 2:00...and decided we had had enough

We made the run out in about an hour and 20 minutes...and an hour and a half to get in.

On the World Cat we just sold, that run would have been well over two hours each way.

Damn, "El Diablo" is proving to be a great new ride for us......:joincc:

I can't speak for Rick, but I was out Sat. and got 3 nice gag off the same spot in 65' near Tarpon.

We have a place in gulf harbors but we had to run up river to get fuel and hit the bar. We run a 27 world cat sport deck with a massive blue canvas top. we're out at the sandbar quite a bit. I'll stop by if we ever see u out there. Hard to miss the red yellowfin.

I did my bachelor party last Saturday and we had minor motor issues as in the bitch is tired and needs to be rebuilt lol...so we did not go where i wanted to. We stayed close to shore within 15 miles ish and had 14 keeper reds, 10-12 gags all pigs and 5 kings one over 20 lbs. Fishing is great... Burned 75$ in fuel on a 10 hour lol... I was gonna run to an area i don't visit much 50 miles up north. Had a bunch of my boys on board so I was gonna limit out on hog reds but it did not happen. We had fish in the 24 in range on the reds and 28-34 in on the gags.
