So I go to grease the bearing buddies and find my mini tube is empty. I go to throw the tube away and realize I can repack the tube. So I grab the big tub of bearing grease, fill the tube, then the bearings. I can't be the first one to do this, but it beats buying more tubes while the tub goes to waste.

I do that too...but not because I can't afford new ones. It's because Yamaha stopped making the small tubes, and that is what I use to lube my fishing reel bearings..

And if you use a plastic drinking straw, it makes it easier to pack the whole tube. The straw lets the inevitable air bubble out of the bottom. Just pack it solid from the back and let it push the air out the straw as the tube fills.
