The Lady Leah, a 40-foot fiberglass scallop dredging boat ran aground while entering Block Island Sound returning to Montauk Harbor. The U.S. Coast Guard was on the scene and assessing the possibility of refloating the vessel at high tide

given the pic and location,
would have to rule out either heavy fog (unlikely with modern electronics) or falling asleep on wheel watch w AP engaged (most likely)
pic looks like it will be refloated with a happy ending,
it could have been much worse with heavy surf and a different shoreline
