Hate to disappoint all the Patriots haters that visit this board - NOT.
Now that he has lost 2 Head Coaching jobs, one for cheating himself, and ended up on ESPN with zero chance of ever actively coaching in the NFL, the Rat has now made a public confession, stating the obvious success the Patriots continue to have demonstrates while Coach Belichek broke a rule taping, he never intended to imply that it effected the final outcome in any significant manner.
Pretty embarrassing he had to fess up with Teddy Bruschi across the sports desk...can only imagine the discussion off camera. Bet Harbaugh or Suggs does not have the guts to do the same!

Too late the damage is done. The Patriots will forever be known as cheaters and their Super Bowl wins will always have an *. Patriot fans will always have this " cross to bear" and it will not ever go away. Think of the * as a Scarlet Letter. Sorry... Not!

I like listening to Eric on ESPN. He did the right thing. I hope they continue the drought for a long time.

As long as there are Patriot fans that feel the need to explain it there will be a cloud over those Super Bowl wins.
I couldn't care less, I feel everyone cheats so getting caught is just an indication that you're not good at it.

They can't help themselves. Even in the off season and next season many months away they still try to put a spin on their tarnished Super Bowl wins. Spygate is embedded deep in their sub-conscious. Along with Aaron Boone, Bill Buckner and Bucky F'ing Dent

Are you kidding me? "Spygate " was an overblown rant by Mangini crying for an advantage to beat the Patriots! You are talking about a grey area of video taping that Belichick was told by the NFL was ok at the time. You can have all the video info you want or need but you still have to win the game on the field!
Below is the NFL's rules....."Polaroid-type cameras" and "videotape machines" was added AFTER the issue was brought up by Mangini!
From the NFL's Constitution & Bylaws (article 9): "Any use by any club at any time, from the start to the finish of any game in which such club is a participant, of any communications or information-gathering equipment, other than Polaroid-type cameras or field telephones, shall be prohibited, including without limitation videotape machines, telephone tapping, or bugging devices, or any other form of electronic devices that might aid a team during the playing of a game."

 Sorry you can't handle the truth. Maybe you should root for another team. How about the Saints? The best part is even if the Patsies win another Super Bowl there will always be suspicions about it. So any future wins will have a *.

You started it. Yeah Mangini recants Spygate. I suppose the NFL is giving them a refund on all the fines and returning the draft picks.
Jet fans are watching baseball now. Maybe you should get some fried chicken and beer and join them.

It's not cheating when you put 12 guys on the field at the end of the game just good strategy to prevent a loss:thumbsup: Oh that's right the NY media covered that up and you never will hear about it again:thumbsup:

I still remember being slumped over, not facing the tv curled in the sfetus position listening for the reaction in the bar on Adam's first SB winning kick. I remember who I was with, where I was, all the details from all three of them. I remember being the only Yankees fan in the Boston bar when Wakefield through the meatball. I remember bringing a bottle of Dom to the same bar for my friends during game 4 of the WS the following year.
None of you played in any of these games. All that matters is did you get your entertainment value. More often than not, that's provided by the people you're with more than the game you're watching on TV. Why are you arguing over such petty crap?
Who cares what Eric Mangina says ? ;?
jzima's position is the right one
But they DID cheat ;)

Because it's THT and this is a place to come and get keyboard balls because you are miserable at home or miserable at work and not catching any fish
