I am about to have a 3 sided w/ wings enclosure done for my 24CC. I have always had sunbrella and 30 or 40g enclosures in the past, with good service life and functionality but this time I am really leaning towards polycarbonate for the 3 sides, and because I want white, Stamoid or Weblon for the material. My biggest concern with polycarb though is not having the abilty for a smile in the front panel, primarily for running at night.
For those that have polycarb, can u please give your feedback on the pros and cons from your personal experience? Any prism effects at night? How has the visibilty held up and have u been able to keep it clear with Plexus or other products?
Thanks in advance.
I'm looking for an enclosure myself. Any cahnce you would like to share how much you are paying for it? I have a guy coming to me this Saturday for am estimate.

I have polycarbonate front panel on my 3 sided enclosure. I don't have problems at night if I really need to see well I poke my head out of the console.

I'm working on this myself. Though you can't roll up the ez2cy material, you can have it zippered around the two edges and bottom. This, in effect, creates a "hinge" at the top. If you have room you can then unzip and secure it to the inside top of your T top. Hope that made sense.

correct, the poly (Makrolon) can't be rolled up. Yes, i completely understand what you are saying as I have thought about doing exactly that.

+1
it's easier to flip up a stiff panel than to roll up a flexible one anyway...

This is the way to go...I was working on it with the guys from the Barnstable Canvas Co in Hyannis.

You should talk to Kevin Corrado in Bristol, RI. He did my enclosure, and it's excellent. I have him reupholstering my stidd chairs and combing bolsters currently. Go with the poly panels, and have the center hinge up and snap to your t-top. You will be very happy with the poly.

Funny you mention Kevin b/c he is doing the work. I have worked with a couple of other local guys in the past and have been generally happy, but decided to give Kev a shot this time b/c his name kept coming up from friends/fisherman/ and others in the industry. I am looking forward to working with him next week.
