Spent the winter updating hoses, wiring, going w dripless shafts, tuning the props, fixing some glass. etc etc etc .
From a toy standpoint, my favorite new item for this spring is aYeti 170 with a seat cushion. Looking to go redundant with a new garmin plotter shortly. What's your favorite new toy for 2012?

What clamp ons di you use....I want to add a few, but not sure w hich ones are most secure. Thought he fertile mount one were th safest, since they could fall and slide down, but not flop the rod overboard.

Nice arch! Mine should be back from the powder coater this week. Off with the mast, on with the arch... along with a few other things.

I have added some with the generic west marine brand holders on sale and they work fine. The only issue I had was when I put my cutting board up front and that lasted about 6 waves.

New Humminbird 898c SI Unit for my bay boat! Your wasting your time without this technology if your fishing in 150' or less depth of water!

Garmin 7215 (upgraded from a 5215)
Garmin GSD24 (upgraded from a GSD22)
19" LCD TV/monitor in cabin (upgraded from a 15")
5HP dingy motor (upgraded from a 3.5hp)
EVERY single year, I say "That's it! I'm done, no more upgrades!". The following winter I'm on the boat in storage installing more CRAP!!!
Why do I own a boat again?? Can somebody please remind me??

Hey Birdie, I just bought the GSD 24 myself. Prior to this year, I used my Garmin only for radar and GPS, but I heard such good things about the 24, I decided to give it a try. I still have my little old Lowrance on board for a back-up.

Bougth a new sounder module for the garmin (see above) and a new VHS radio with the DSC feature that plugs into my GPS. Once I learned how all that stuff worked together, I felt it was a must have saftey feature. Especially since I wanted to replace my old VHS anyway.

Love it. Easy to run solo, economical on fuel and maintenance, can take a licking when it needs to. I've had it on the back side of Race Point before and had to run home in some pretty sloppy stuff.
If you don't have them, add some trim tabs. Best addition to the boat i've made.
Blue T Top, Raymarine Dome, Outriggers named Elixir. Give a shout if you see me!

New Floscan; I took this opportunity to replace all my fuel lines, the newer ones consider ethanol in the fuel supply. Last time I cut a hole in my boat it was 10", 3" was a little easier to take.
