Just installed a 24m HD radar to my 4210 unit. I have always had Furuno and not sure how to tune this unit of if it is working properly(we had to cut and recrip ethernet cable). It powers up and spin but not reading properly. Is there anyone in the area that I can pay to either come and look at it or I can bring to them.

1) Set all the controls to Automatic initially
2) make sure the boat is not in a garage or within 25 ft or so of tall buildings
3) Pick range of about 1NM

Do you hear it spinning? Anything on the display at all?

It is spinning I can hear that. When the setting is auto and at 1 mile nothing is being displayed. When I crank the gain up I see its spinning due to the screen being "blacked out" but not reading anything objects.

Let us know what you find out. Make sure the Radar is pretty close to level and not tilted way back. Make sure rain clutter and other settings (there are several) are off or on auto. Is the unit new and under warranty? Hopefully the person above can help you.
