The Carolinas - Sat. Buddy Boat From Beaufort

We are gonna give it a go on Saturday out of Beaufort to see what we can find. Not sure which way we are headed yet waiting for Fridays SST to help decide. Anyone else going that wants to buddy up would be great, Its nice to have friends out there. We will be on 68, hollar at the Redneck.

I'll be going out of Beaufort as well Saturday A.M. Im going to make a plan on Friday on were to fish pending a fishing report and an SST chart reading.

I dont know where we will go yet. If your interested we leave from the radio island ramp but the time we leave will depend on how early I can get down there friday! I can pm you friday?

Hey Scott~ I don't know if you remember me, but we went fishing on a charter together out of Atlantic Beach two years ago. I'm Scott and we went out with you and I think your brother-in-law on the Pelagic with Captain Mike Webb. I didn't know you were on here man!! How's everything been?

Well we tried to get out there on Saturday, made it about 10 miles at 15 Mph and decided it wasnt worth it, we had 30 miles left to get where we was going and im too old and fat to get that beat up. The weather was supposed to get worse instead of better also.we ended up at CALO and caught a mess of spanish then drowned some bait in hopes of a cobia but no luck. Had a great time nonetheless with good friends, thx to Outlaw Gunner and cfarmd for making it an interesting day despite gettin whooped by mother nature.

we made it about 30 out and finally said forget it. But we trolled also and killed the spanish and bluefish. Ive learned theirs 2 people that can lie and keep their job...the president and the weatherman

Thats right on the money.LOL

We made 21 knots running out but it was like a washing machine on the north end
of the stone. Kept going offshore to 130 fathoms on the other side of a nice temp
break and it was nice. Only picked 2 dolphins missed about 8 just one of them days
could not do anything right. Maybe the weather and the fishing will be better next
time.

It was sporty out there esp. in a small cc we fished the 90ft drop then out to the rise we ended up with only one gaffer size dolphin! It did lay down around 130. The current was strong out there also I should have played golf!!

You are right it was not very pretty we were about 15 miles north of you way out in the deep. It was nice when you were in the currrent very nasty when you came back inshore of the break. We picked up at 2:45 to run home. Still pretty bouncy but were able to make 20 knots to the knuckle then 23 the rest of the way.

Naw man!! Not at all! We went out last year, and have another one lined up for this year on 7/03. I'm looking into getting a boat myself. How's the boating been? I reckon you're an expert by now!!
