Yesterday was the first day that we have seen good numbers of bait show up along the beaches off Cape Lookout. Along with the bait came the cobia. There were 2 confirmed cobia caught with the water temperatures at the Cape around 65 degrees and 67 degrees at Beaufort Inlet.. With the weather forecast of light SW winds all this week we should see the water warm up to around 70 degrees and the bite should be on! Capt. Joe shute's Bait & Tackle got a good load of menhaden yesterday and we have them for $5.00 per dozen frozen if you need cobia bait. We also special prices on Penn Battle 6000 reels and either Shakespeare 20-40 lb rods or Star Aerial 6'6" 20-40 lb rod combos already spooled with 40 lb braid and mono topshots for cobia fishing. Stop by and check us out. By the way I appreciate everyone that showed up for our Free cobia seminar that we had this past weekend. 138 anglers showed up and hopefully some of the information you got will help you put some meat in the box. ]Don't forget to sign up for the month long cobia tournament starting today and ending May 31st. Registration fee is only $50.Good Luck & Good Fishing,

Capt. Joe Shute
