I'mbetting they show this week and this weekend. Its gonna be warm all week and south wind, so by weekend warmer water will have pushed in nicely.

I'm betting they will be at Hatteras by the end of the week. The S to SW wind all week should move them right up. A few have been caught just south of Drum Inlet a few weeks ago.

was offshore 60 miles out of NMB, saw at least 10 cobia chasing fish to the boat. We landed 3 & hooked up to a monster that broke off under the boat as well

Rick Caton (Free Agent) has put some purty pics of his clients catch out of Oregon Inlet area over the last week or so.

Have not heard of of any out of Beaufort Inlet/Barden Inlet as yet. Saw a couple of guides out looking Saturday.

I am ready

Thanks for the correction. I had intended to put a /Hatteras after the Oregon Inlet. Does not matter he is a King of Cobia from what I know of him.

I am out of Barden Inlet/Beaufort Inlet and Friday I am going to start my hunt in earnest. Last year was super.

Started off running from Hatteras down past OC Inlet in the morning and only found 68 degree water. Decided to go offshore where we found a large turtle on a weed line 24 miles offshore. I threw a buck tail to it and ended up with a little pup.

On the way back in the water held at 73 degrees and we spotted a 25lb ish while we were running and heard from a few friends that they saw a couple as well. The water is getting there, just give the fish a few more days.
