Alright fellas, here is what I am looking for.
I want a ..... CHEAP .... SKIFF / FLAT BOTTOM ........ boat for flounder gigging, crab pots or dogs playing on the beach.
FIBERGLASS HULL ....... no wood. Would like a hull in decent shape with only cosmetic damage, nothing structural. Prefer something late 90's to current, newer the better.
Trailer in decent shape........
I do want a wide beam as it will be for flounder gigging.
No carburetor motors ......... EFI 2 stroke or 4 stroke only.....
I am gonna approach this 2 ways, either look for a sick DISTRESS SALE
or ..............
find someone that has a BLOWN MOTOR and they are willing to SELL THE HULL / TRAILER as is at a deep discount.
I came across a deal on a Merc 115 4 stroke that I can't pass up and would put it on the hull.
Budget is gonna be 2 - 5K .... MAX ...... UNLESS ........ they want to also take tackle I have in stock already, ie rods, reels, lures, parts, hunting gear, etc.
If you guys know of a steal on the east coast, preferably in the SE, shoot me a PM.
If I wind up doing a deal, the guy that gave me the tip will get a bird dog for doing so.
