I have removed old wood and layed in a layer of cloth and west system. I roughed up the area. I fit the marine plywood to the hatch. I resined the the plywood that will be going in. My question is can I just use resin to bond the wood to the new cloth and West System, or do I have to use another piece of cloth for the bond to occur?

Layed in the 1.5 cloth and glassed in last night. Screwed, clamped, and cinder blocks stacked. Check it after work today then glass in the bottom. Was thinking about glassing some insulation board to the plywood to add some insulation to the top of the box. Opinions. Also made some new Hatch covers out of 12in. wide timber-tec fashier board. They came out lookin good. Thanks for the help.

I know it's already done but you first thin the epoxy and apply it to the wood and let it soak in and tack up. You then bond the board with thickened epoxy with 406 or 404 and clamp overnight as you did.
