You dock at Mallery Square, walk it or bike it. Bars are all up and down Duval st.

Duval street is 100 yards from the dock.... Do the obligatory "Duval Crawl" with stops at Sloppy Joes, Hogs Breath and Capt Tony's.... then walk to the "Bight" and check out the marinas and small shops..

KW is a great place - albeit a bit touristy....

Have Fun !!!

They have a north and south dock. The south dock is about 5x farther to walk but its really not a big deal

as someone who worked in the industry in Key West for over 5 years, I can assure you that there are 3 potential areas for you to dock at, not counting the option of anchoring out and being ferried in.
Mallory Dock is as described...at Mallory Square. Step off the ship, you're right there.

Pier B is behind the Westin Resort and is a short walk off the pier and then footsteps away from Mallory Square and Duval Street.

The Navy Mole Pier is the other option and is considerably further away. In fact, since it is technically Navy property, you aren't even allowed to walk from the ship. The cruise lines/city/navy have all coordinated with the local Trolley company to provide free transportation off the pier with a dropoff right at Mallory Square.

A lot of where you dock depends on which Cruise Line it is, how big the ship is, and where the cruise line falls in the pecking order of cruise lines. A quick search should be able to provide you with what pier you will be located.

let me also add that I left that industry 4-5 years ago, so it's possible that some of the Navy info has changed since then. However, I highly doubt it.

My wife and I are heavy cruisers.. We have been to Key West at least 5 times in the last few years on cruises, the mostrecent about 6 months ago. We docked at the Navy Dock and got shuttled by the sightseeing trains, it was bad. They let us off near Mallory Square. Also no other ship was in town, so I wondered why we did not go to Mallry Square.

We have also docked at Mallory Square and this is by far the easiest..

We do all our cruising on Carnival, have fun after you leave there you are probably headed to Cozumel, another one of our favorites..

I bet they got the Navy dock for half the price of the other one
