Jim,
Which one of these is the Nautic Insight HD East 2012 and what's the difference between the two?
BOE Marine PN 000-10643-001 list for $149.99; or
BOE Marine PN 000-10041-001 list for $99.00.
Thanks

I have absolutely no idea, but it is not for lack of trying. We do not have the $149 charts right now, just the $99 version. I will cal Lowrance again tomorrow to see if I can figure it out.

I'm interested in the Insight HD 2012 chip but they're listed under Lowrance which uses the standard SD size chip. I have both a NSS8 and HDS-5 and want to know if there is an embedded micro SD chip in a standard SD size sleeve so it could be used with either unit.

I talked to my rep today about the differences and he said he would email me a cheat sheet to explain it. I have yet to get it. About all I could get out of him on the phone is that both of them are 2012. I'll report back when I get that sheet.

OK, so the p/n 000-10643-001 is the 2012 HD chart for the east.
The p/n 10041 you have above must be 2011. Its not on the cheat sheet I got.
P/N 000-10666-001 is the Pro version (pro is actually the lesser version) which has coverage for the entire US, but no shaded contours.

Jim, How does the cartography in nautic insight 2012 compare to navionics platinum plus?
Thanks

Nautic Insight is good on the coast, but it does not do everything that Platinum Plus does. Plat Plus has satellite photos and a real 3D look to name a couple of the bigger plus's.
