How do you remove the cockpit bolsters on the 1997 Hydra-Sports 2450CC? they do not seem to lift up and out. are they bolted in from th back? if so, you would have to remove the lower gunnel rod holder panels, which are caulked in place.

There are several small stainless steel tabs on the bottom edge of the bolsters...look carefully and you'll see them. They have #6 screws that hold the bolster "down". Once removed, the bolsters lift "up" and off.

Pull the rod boxes out. There are about 6 fenders washers under there on each bolster.. I also had to pull the port water hose housing to get the back one.
