Just bought a boat and been working on several maintenance issues one being changing light bulbs in the underside of the hardtop of the hard top on the bridge. I have messed around it but can't seem to figure out how to get the housing off to change the light. I've twisted, pried, and concentrated real hard using 'the force' to no avail? It may just be corroded and stuck, but before i get real crazy with it, i wanted to see if anyone else has this flush light assembly and can give me some direction. Probably something really simple. The bulb itself should just pull out. No need to remove the housing.
The two metal prongs anchor it into the metal block.

Sorry, should have been more clear. How do you remove the cover over the light bulb? I don't want to break the cover.

The housing should twist counterclockwise about 1/16 of a turn.

Thanks Auqasport. BTW i have a 19-6, Aquasport that my grandfather purchased new in 1973. We have repowered it and gone through various upgrades and re-furbishements over the years, but i love the boat.

Maybe spray with silicone to loosen things up.
Looks like you've got some rust up in there.
