Will a PLB purchased and registered in the U.S. be useful in the Bahamas? I am considering the Aqualink 350 but still learning about the differences in the brands and models. I will use it primarily near home port in FL but get to go to the other side occasionally and don't know how the Coast Guard alert would work over there.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Thanks for the link. I see where it says that they can be used worldwide so that is reassuring. But how would it actually unfold if you had to deploy it? The U.S.A.F. is notified and then they notify the SAR agency in the country it was deployed?

I really don't know how it works overseas. I would ask up in the main electronics forum. There is a guy named ACRguy that will chime in.
