I recently purchased an 87 hammerhead. I'm not sure if the bilge is working. When I turn on the bilge with the boat on the trailer I get no noise or anything. Can anyone tell me if I need to get a new pump or try anything else? Also if anyone knows where the bilge pump is located that would be great if you could tell me! Thanks, look forward to hearing from y'all!

I too have an 87 hammer head. do you have any pictures of your hull. I have two inspection ports next to the transom. you can put a water hose in the thru hole on the bottom and fill with water. plug it back and turn on the pump and see what happens. If you need anything else feel free to PM me or email me at

WOW i didnt think anyone was going to answer that question for me! I have the same thing located near the rear of the transom. I wasnt sure what they were used for though and havent even tried to pop them up yet. I have been dealing with getting the paint redone on it and starting to get the wire work re done. I want to get the boat back to its original condition. I liked the look they had and i want to get mine back to that. Just with a few updated items of course!
