I've had problems in the past with growth in my diesel. It has popped up again. I am going to switch my biocide to Biobor JF instead of the cheaper stuff I used last time. My question is if I use the biocide at the time of fueling, do I need to re-treat if it is a month or 3 before I fill up again?

Biobor can be used as a shock treatment or a maintenance treatment. I use Biobor EB in my boat and also use Biobor at work (aircraft mechanic), if you have the ability to check the fuel, do so and then you will be able to determine if a maintenance dose is necessary

When we come across a tank that has been treated with any of the biocides we normally remove a coffee ground material from the bottom of the tanks.
Biocides treat the symptoms but not the cause.

Bears come into camp grounds for the food, bugs develop into colonies in diesel fuel because of the food source.

Remove the food then the bears and the bugs will go away.

The bugs that biocides kill develop into a boaters nightmare once they become mobile in the tank while being offshore.

Can you clarify what the food is? Isn't it the fuel itself?
