Brought home a kitten a few weeks ago for the kids...... Cute little bastard...
But I was concerned that my 100 LB GSD would tear it a new hole....
Well - that kitten has stones gentlemen - there was a fight as expected - and then a daily stare down....
I am watching now as the cat just sits there on a chair basically telling the dog to bring it or go to hell.....
I am gonna start calling him Bad Mother F....ker
I find it very amusing

My Lab doesn't belong to me anymore. She totally belongs to our cat. It is actually funny to go out back and see the dog asleep in the yard and the cat curled up next to her. Like my pillow?

7 1/2 lb cat and a 70 lb female GSD have co-existed in our house for 4 years. Cat makes the rules - has made them since she was a kitten and the GSD was 2 yrs old.

I hate cats, i think thats why we have two in the house. My wife and daughter like to torture me. Both cats have my Great Dane buffaloed.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the stones on the cat...

I have a 13lb Manx that doesnt have an ounce of fat. He is a KILLER. HATES dogs. Had hima t the vet last weeks and he went after a dog in the lobby whos owner thought it was ok to let it come over by us. He has kicked the crap put of a German Shepard, black lab, and jack Russell to date. All three came to him then ran like hell!
He also drags stuff around like a pit bull and walks on a leash.

Used to raise Manx kitties. They are by far bordering the thin line between wild and domestic, "Mr. Earl" black like yours, but a rumpy, used to go hunt out back in the citrus orchard when we 1st moved here. He'd catch these giant field rats, and drag them back to the patio over an 8ft. block wall. Okay, he's a hunter, I can deal with that.
Except he was also a cruel and sadistic bastard. He'd chew off the feet so the rat couldn't escape. If I had a nickel for every live, twitching rat, with NO feet I found on the patio, I'd have a Nordhavn!!!
PS - Love the tortoise. We have a rescued African Spur Thigh that lives in our backyard. He's a LOT bigger now than in the pic!

Cats dont play! My old tomcat "Blackjack" has beat the hell out of my sisters pit bull, said hello to my GSD by swatting her on the nose when my GSD stuck her head in the door. No fear at all!

Cats lead with their paws and claws a dog leads with his nose. Kinda like sticking your jaw out in a fight.

Enzo isnt a pure Manx but do tell him that. He is the smartest cat I have ever been around. Did I mention he retrieves as well?
This guy lives in our back yard so our cats stay indoors. This was ahile back and he/she has grown up. We see it almost every day.

All of our Manx used to retrieve. Favorite was a ball of aluminum foil, they'd run and fetch it and I'd throw it over and over and over...better retriever than my Lab! Hahahah!

I'm having deja vu or something. Was around manx kitties when I lived with my aunt and uncle for a while. They were the smartest cats I've ever seen and they too fetched and really enjoyed the foil you mention Dulcecita...actually anything shiney. I just thought they "thought" they were dogs. :)

Cats eat birds, when they can get to them.
When the baby bird nest is outside the window screen they get excited and show it by tail movement.
Saw them at the window, just had to make a movie of it.

My 75lb Leopard hound has deposed a Coyote and a Bobcat by herself, but my 8 lb barn cat grew up with dogs. The dog doesn't mess wit da cat. She's just an ole' barn cat, 14 yrs old, no teeth, but if tough could be measured she'd be off the scale.
